Tours of the collection and exhibitions
Well-known works from the collection, the history of the Kunsthaus and Wolfgang Laib’s quiet art are the focus of these tours. Find out what makes an artwork an icon, how the Kunsthaus developed from the ‘Künstlergüetli’ into one of Switzerland’s largest art museums, and how Wolfgang Laib uses pollen, wax, milk, rice and stone to create art with a powerful presence.

Behind-the-scenes tours
What does it take to ensure that artworks can be safely preserved, researched and displayed? Tours of areas not normally open to the public introduce you to the work of Conservation, the Library and Provenance Research. Watch the Art Handling team install a collection gallery and gain an insight into the museum’s technical systems.

Families
Theatre, colour and digital experiments make the Kunsthaus a place of discovery for the whole family. Children can create stories together, get creative in the open studio or experience how art in the physical world connects with digital worlds.
